Description:

Yellow was a popular colour for glass made in the imperial workshops. Some of the yellow glass colours described include “opaque yellow, persimmon yellow, goose yellow”. A particular colour of deep yellow glaze on porcelain was reserved for the use of the court during the Qing dynasty (1688-1911) Future research may reveal if this was also the case for yellow glass.
