Description:
This box is carved with two cat-like dragons and a symbol used to represent long life (shou). Boxes in China were used to hold personal or food items, and were often given as gifts.

Four-character mark of Qianlong reign (1736-1795), but possibly later in date
Base width: 8.3 cm base length: 9.0 cm, base height: 3.4 cm, lid width: 8.4 cm lid length: 9.0 cm, lid height: 3.4 cm, combined height: 5.9 cm
