Vase
Description:
There was a Chinese legend that said a magic peach tree grew in the gardens of the fairy goddess, the Queen Mother of the West (Xiwangmu). Once every thousand years the tree bore fruit and those who ate it lived for ever. So the peaches on this vase symbolise immortality as do the rocks and magic fungus around its base.
