Table listing correction houses and tread-mills in parishes in Jamaica. Tread mills and correction houses were used to punish slaves, and , as the list shows, also apprentices. (Slaves were freed under the Emancipation Act, but were then forced to work as apprentices). From Papers Relative to Abolition of Slavery, Part II, 1833-35.
