Vase 1800-1900, Qing dynasty
Description:
To make this vase, tiny pieces of coloured glass were placed onto the molten white glass. Then it was probably rolled against a flat iron or marble surface (a marver) to press the colours into the white glass before it was blown into shape. The dragon design was carved into the surface with a wheel after the glass had fully cooled.
