Advert for the auction of the ship, the Brigatine Three Brothers. Taken by John Kimber, who later became well-known in Bristol for his trial over the murder of an African slave onboard his ship.

Kimber would have had the status of a privateer at this time, which meant he could catch enemy ships during the war which was then occurring between Britain and France.
