Muster roll for the ship, the Trusty , sailing from the Bay of Honduras, 1786.
Honduras was the source of much of the mahhogany timber imported into Britain. The Trusty was probably a wood vessel, buying mahogany in from mainland central America.

The muster roll is a list of all crew signed on for all or part of a voyage, which was used to calculate the money each man should pay to the Sailors’ Hospital Fund (insurance).

The Alfred left Bristol for West Africa. The number of slaves bought is not known, but 300 were reported imported into Jamaica.

There are no records of where the Leviathan went in Africa, or of any slaves bought and sold. The ship put into Galway in Ireland on the return journey in distress .

The Wasp sailed for New Calabar, Africa, although it is not known how many slaves were bought. 210 were sold in St Vincents.

Muster roll for the ship, the Hector , sailing from Bristol to Africa and from thence to London, 1786.
The Hector was a large slaving ship of 300 tons. She sailed for Gabon, on the West African coast, and then returned direct to London. The Hector was presumably a wood vessel , buying tropical hardwoods for the ship building and timber trades.

Muster roll for the ship, the Brothers , sailing from Africa and St Vincents, in the Caribbean, 1785.
The Brothers sailed for Africa, and was reported as calling at Cape Coast Castle and Benin, both in West Africa. The number of slaves bought is not known, but 220 were sold at St Vincent. For 15 of the 40 crew who sailed from Bristol, this was their first voyage.
