Muster roll for the ship, the Sally , sailing from Africa and the West Indies, 1785.
The Sally sailed for Africa. The ship’s master may have traded at Bonny in West Africa, as it is known the ship called in there. It is not known how many slaves were bought, but 330 were sold at St Vincent.

The African Queen was owned by Sidenham Teast and Son, ship builders. It was a wood vessel, and sailed back to Bristol from Africa, with a cargo of tropical hardwood for ship building.

The Arabella sailed for the Gambia, West Africa and St Christophers. The number of slaves bought is not known, but 110 were sold at St Kitts.

Muster roll for the slave ship, Phoenix . The ship left Bristol in November 1762 and arrived in Cape Coast, West Africa, where 307 enslaved Africans were purchased. The ship then sailed to Jamaica in the Caribbean where it arrived with it’s slaves in good order . The ship later returned to Bristol.

It is not known where the Juba traded in Africa, nor how many enslaved Africans were bought there. The cargo of slaves was sold at Dominica. The whole voyage took just under 9 months, which was fast for a slaving voyage.

The Cape Coast sailed for Africa and St Kitts, in the Caribbean. She seems to have returned to Africa, perhaps for a cargo of timber to carry back to Bristol. The ship was, unusually, owned by a woman, Catherine Stroud.
