The ship, the Prince, sailed for Africa for a cargo of Negroes with orders to buy 407. The actual number bought is not known, but 285 were sold at Jamaica. Several of the crew died of the fever and the flux .

Continuation of Muster roll for the slave ship, Betsey, which left Bristol 16th December 1773 and arrived in Gambia, West Africa. The ship left West Africa with 128 enslaved Africans and sailed to South Carolina, USA, where the slaves were sold. The ship returned to Bristol.

Muster roll for the slave ship Constantine, which left Bristol in 1773 and sailed to Anamaboe, West Africa. The ship had 376 slaves on board when it arrived from St Vincents in Africa, and sold them on arrival to Jamaica. The ship returned to Bristol in 1774.

Muster roll for the ship, the Indian Queen , from Bristol to Africa and Jamaica and back to Bristol.
The Indian Queen sailed for Old Calabar in West Africa and Jamaica. 383 slaves were sold at Jamaica. On the return journey, the ship carried sugar from the plantation owned by John Hugh Smyth of Ashton Court, Bristol.
