Muster roll for the ship, the James , from Africa and Jamaica, 1787.
The James sailed for the Windward Coast in the eastern Caribbean and bought 169 slaves. 154 were sold in Jamaica.

The Thomas sailed for Calabar in West Africa. It is not known how many slaves were bought, but 349 were sold in St Vincent.

The Sally was one of many merchant ships supplying the colonies with manufactured goods and foodstuffs. It was government policy that the colonies should be a market for British-made goods and supply raw materials to British industry.

Muster roll for the ship, the Pilgrim , sailing from Africa, Buenos Aires and Santande.
The Pilgrim sailed for Bonny in West Africa and bought 420 slaves. 350 slaves were sold at Montendeo, in South America. There was a big demand for slaves in South America, and a few Bristol ships helped to supply them.
