The Indian Prince sold 187 slaves at Barbados. Several of the crew has sailed on previous slaving voyages, in the ships; the Molly , the Indian Queen and the Anamabot .

Muster roll of the ship, the Cornwall , from Bristol to Africa and America and back to Bristol, 1794.
This was the seventh of ten slaving voyages for the Cornwall . Slaves were bought in Angola, West Africa. The records suggest either 500 or 300 slaves were carried, with 300 sold at Jamaica. The return cargo included sugar from the Spring Plantation owned by John Hugh Smyth of Ashton Court, Bristol.

Muster roll for the ship, the Cato.
The Cato , a large ship, carried 86 crew to look after the intended cargo of slaves. The ship spent at least 8 months on the African coast at Old Calabar, loading an unknown number of slaves. 40 of the crew died in Africa. Reports vary of 500, 530 or 398 slaves on board, with 398 sold at Jamaica.

25 of the 47 crew died before the ship reached Jamaica. One of them was killed. The others, including the captain, Samuel Whiting, presumably died of disease at the African coast or during the Middle Passage.
