Seamens Articles of Agreement and wages

Description:

Seamens Articles of Agreement for voyage of slave ship Hope , Bristol to Jamaica and return.Master, William Clutsam. With schedule of wages due to each employee.

Articles of Agreement set out the terms and conditions of a voyage. The Articles was a standard printed form, listing the food rations and financial arrangements the crew would receive.
