The caves
Description:
Caves outside the capital city of Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, Africa.
I visited the slave caves in the Port of Malabo where there was a very real possibility that my direct ancestor would have had to endure suffering (the caves were used to hold enslaved Africans before they were shipped off into slavery).
Words of Beaula McCalla, an Afrikan-Caribbean Briton, who traced her blood relatives: the Bubi people, of Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea, Africa.
Equatorial Guinea was a former Spanish colony.
